While monthly periodicals never make it through the postal system with exact consistency, the situation has become intolerable the past 10 months with our mailings to Canada. We know for a fact that in one area of Ontario, the January magazine arrived in March, the June magazine never arrived at all, the July-August issue arrived at the end of August (it was mailed the end of June), and the September magazine arrived in splendid time on September 16.

We’ve investigated the alternatives and discovered that mailing first class within Canada costs only $.05 US more per magazine than mailing periodical rate from the States. As we live on the border and regularly visit Canada, the magazines are being bulk shipped to us and then mailed within Canada. We plan to use this option until a better solution is available.

It should also be noted that Canada Post does not notify us if you change your address. Canada Post forwards to the new address for a couple of months, but after that it is returned to us with a note the addressee has moved. We can only learn of the new address if you let us know.
