Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Edmonton, Alberta Ecclesia presently is blessed with 13 baptized members which includes four active brothers. We are, however, widely scattered from our meeting place.

Five members, including two of the active brothers, live in Edmonton which has a metropolitan population of 750,000. Three members, including one of the active brothers, live 80-100 km north of the city at Morinville and Busby. Three members (including the undersigned) live in Wainwright about 220 km east. Two members live in Lloydminster about 300 km east.

We have attempted public lectures, presently have a “Bible Line” answering machine and have a distribution list for the Glad Tidings magazine. None of these efforts has produced many, if any, results.

We are presently formulating plans for the “Learn to Read the Bible Effectively” seminars. To make this effort a success, however, we need help in two areas and this need is behind our request for outside assistance.

The cost of the seminar series for the Edmonton area is estimated to be $2,500 CDN. This amounts to almost our entire bank balance. We would appreciate any financial assistance that the Christadelphian community could provide in meeting this goal.

In addition to the cost, we also need help physically. Any experienced speaking brother who has six weeks available to assist us with this endeavor would be appreciated. Accommodation would be provided along with assistance in travel costs.

Our present plan is to begin the series in the fall of 1996 commencing September 4, and ending October 9, God willing.

Inquires regarding this endeavor and donations may be made to either of the following:
