The ecclesia is an essential part of every Christadelphian’s life. Not just his spiritual life but his everyday life. We live in a very complex world where the carnal mind rules and we are surrounded by many situations that are not compatible with Christadelphian principles, though accepted by society.

A Christadelphian has some very important decisions to make and Divine guidance is required to make them properly. The only place we can receive this guidance is from God’s word. There is no open vision today. We must read the word for instruction on how to direct our lives in righteousness.

The Bible Companion and daily readings is an essential part of our ecclesial life. If we do not charge up our faith at least once a day our spiritual batteries will run down. Our attendance at the Memorial Service each Sunday morning is also essential to our spiritual well being. The ecclesia is a bulwark to our defense against temptation. The world is always bidding us to be partakers of the pleasures of the things around us. A Christadelphian’s life must revolve around the ecclesia and its activities and these things must not be taken lightly.

The ecclesia can only be successful to the extent that its members are dedicated to God’s purposes and united in a coinmon bond of love which begets a desire in each to enrich his life with a knowledge of God’s word.

Coming together each Sunday in memory of the love of God and the faithfulness of his son humbles one and enables us to face the troubles of this present world with confidence and conviction that evil will not reign forever. Meeting with those of like precious faith in the common bond of love is an important aspect of our walk towards the goal of eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

We who live near a meeting and are able to attend each Sunday should be thankful that we have the ecclesia to help us. Let us each do our part to make sure our ecclesia is alive and full of the love of God.
