The trees of Idyllwild are green, with roots in mountain soil
They’ve seen the passing of the years and life with all its toil
And w hat they’ve seen, beloved, means too much to you and me
They’ve seen the constant care of Him w ho is Eternity.
Let’s hope our hearts are also fresh and green on mountain soil
And that we scan our passing years of life with all its toil
And w hat we see, beloved, means so much to you and me
We’ve seen the constant care of Him who is Eternity.
Upon the mountain of the Lord our roots go far and deep
To learn of Him w ho wearies not nor slumbers into sleep
And like the trees of Idyllwild who’ve seen these
Let’s lift our eyes to God above and render Him our Praise.
