My Idea of Hard Work is when someone starts to sweat, pant and feels like dying at the end of the day. Although people think they are doing hard work, they are doing nothing compared to the people in the olden days. Back then, people used no modern tools; they only had their own hands and effort. The people of nowadays use modern technology and all of the sundry articles that go with it. Although people say they are doing hard work, they are only operating the machines that do the work for them. As a result of this, people get lazy and think they are doing hard work when they are not.
When we say we don’t have spare time, we are only tricking ourselves. God expects us to work for our livelihood instead of reaping from others.
Even though we think of ourselves as being workers in the vineyard rather than complacent, we have to work harder for our Lord. There are many opportunities to serve in the community of believers and preach to our friends.
We should devote ourselves to studying the Bible for one hour in the day and study it with “hard work.” If you consider yourself to be a diligent worker already, think of those who were in Bible times, toiling all day in the scorching sun. As a result of the modern ways, we have to look at the “sun of righteousness” and remember the kingdom and all that we are really striving for.
