Miscellaneous Notes

The magazine content is somewhat different this month due to the large sections devoted to “Letters to the Editor” and “Preaching the Truth” To make room, we’ve not included a “Reflection,” have delayed some articles and have cut back on editorial comments.

For the first time, we are implementing a committee suggestion to place sensitive material m the center pages for easy removal if so desired Several readers have commented over the years that they leave the magazine around for perusal by house guests and others to whom they would rather not disclose issues of debate or sensitive matters generally During the past couple years, we have edited such material out of the magazine By so doing, however, it was felt the Tidings is not faithfully addressing issues upon which comment can profitably be made Certainly the prophets and apostles have left on record very direct remarks on topics of the most serious spiritual magnitude Using the easily removable center pages for such considerations will hopefully satisfy both areas of concern.

Included with many subscription payments are notes and contributions, some of them quite large, for the publishing work We are deeply grateful for the notes of appreciation and gratefully apply the additional funds to extend the distribution of the magazine and to lay the foundation for additional publishing work.
