I just received two mails from my neighbors, a tired Matthew J. in Korea (describing his regular weekend trip of 300 miles to support a new and struggling ecclesia), and from Paul R. in Japan (still praying for laborers to be sent into the field, and still getting zero answer, while his Japanese contacts say, “The Christadelphians aren’t interested in us”).

Another mail came in last night from Sydney – a typed-up copy of a plea from Burma: “Send us a Christadelphian teacher for my school” – the fifth time this contact has begged us, but there’s no one to send.

Two nights ago it was a mail from a brother coordinating the work in Vietnam, trying to raise a pittance of cash and drum up support.

Closer to home, down in Hong Kong, the ecclesia seems to have had a reprieve with new foreign brethren coming to work, but we still estimate that for every one Christadelphian who stops over and makes sure he attends (armed with an exhort) another two fly through and avoid us. Sorry I use these exotic examples but these are the local tales of woe.
