It is scripturally sound and spiritually beneficial to restate our beliefs and this is especially true when the very foundation stones upon which our faith is built are being challenged. By reaffirming our position we give courage to others who may be wavering. Such action acts like oil upon the troubled waters to those who might be wondering just what to do.
For this reason The Tidings welcomes and encourages all ecclesias in the United States and Canada to “strengthen the things that remain” by restating their position concerning those things most surely believed among us. The Austin, Texas, Glendale, Los Angeles and Pomona, California Ecclesias have restated their positions in this issue.
Because we are all brethren, we must all “speak the same things.” And publishing these statements for all to see can accomplish much good and show that we are of one mind in those vital first principles which bind us so close together.
