Safe in the shelter of His love
God bids us hide,
As the dark storm clouds gather round,
His hands will guide.
Through threatening days His still, small voice
We hear once more.
It bids us keep our eyes on Him
Through waves that roar.
Today He walks on boisterous seas
Of war and hate,
But those who hearken will not sink,
They pray—and wait.
For war shall cease, and peace descend
Upon the earth.
This troubled world through pain shall see
A second birth.
So thankfully we lift our hearts
To Him in prayer,
For all the glory of the day
We soon shall share.
