I read somewhere that a minister once said while speaking on the subject of marriage that it would be wise to take out a life insurance policy.

Now although a life insurance policy is of benefit in old age, or to the bereaved, it is of no use whatever to the dead. “What is a man propheted if he gain the whole world and loose his own soul ? And what will a man give in exchange for his soul ?”

There is a policy though that will truly be “assurance of life forever” if we would only pay the price and purchase it. Now, as you all must know, to secure life insurance you must pay out a specified amount of money for a certain length of time according to the arranged policy. Then in the end you reap according to what you formerly sacrificed.

This same principle applies to life assurance. It is only according to what we are willing to sacrifice, or give now, that we will be rewarded in the end.

When we were children we read stories like that of Cinderella, what thought she was mistreated ye did what was right and good, am in the end she rejoiced.

Now it is certain that marriage isn’t always happy ever after, but we do expect eternity to be happy ever after. But do we expect to attain to eternal life without striving and sacrificing for it now ? Perhaps we will find our selves in the position of the step sisters who were not pronounce( happy but sadly disappointing, an it may be even worse.

Jesus Christ is assuredly concerning soon to establish his kingdom on earth. To how many of us will He say “Well done,” and to have many “Depart ?” Truly there will be rejoicing with the accepted but “weeping and wailing am gnashing of teeth” with the rejected.

To which class do you belong?
