If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your
back, a roof over your head, and a bed to sleep on,
you are richer than 75 percent of people in the world.
So thank the Lord.

If you have some money in the bank, in your wallet,
and spare change in your pocket, you are among the
world’s wealthiest 8 percent.
So thank the Lord.

If you woke up this morning with more health than
illness, you are more blessed than the million who
will not survive this week.
So thank the Lord.

If you have never experienced being
shot at by terrorists, nor the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are
well ahead of 500 million people in the world.

So thank the Lord.

If you can read the Bible and worship the true God
without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or
death, you are more blessed than three billion people
in the world – one half of all humanity.
So really thank the Lord for that blessing.

If you have someone to hold your hand, hug you, or
even touch you on the shoulder, you are more blessed
than millions of people who never experience love any
time in their lives.

So thank the Lord.

And if you can read this message, thank God again,
for you are more blessed than two billion people in
the world who cannot read at all.

So count your blessings, and thank the Lord.
